I’ve always loved the bold, graphic designs found in different folk patterns around the world and I especially liked the concept of these earrings depicting the carp windsocks of Japan hanging from little fish hook earrings.

Koinobori Earrings were laser cut on birch wood and hand painted with acrylic paint. Earrings measured .54 in wide x 1.6 in tall x .125 in thick and hung from 21 gauge, 15 mm, gold-plated brass flat fish hook earwire.
