I created this plaque for QPop’s Unicats and Caticorns group show in 2015. You can tell by its relative simplicity that this was the first large, multi-layered plaque I created. Back in high school, a friend had given me a Chinese folk tiger toy and I was inspired by its patterned stripes and wide grin.

Qilin Kitty Plaque was laser cut on multi-layered birch wood and hand painted with acrylic and oil paints.
